About the Job

As a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer - Encryption at Rest and Secrets Management, you'll play a critical role in maintaining and growing AT&T's encryption at rest and Secrets Management infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, engineering, and maintaining critical encryption at rest environments
  • Working with various AT&T application teams to onboard and utilize existing infrastructure
  • Supporting application teams using encryption tools and maintaining current software releases
  • Assisting application teams with problem-solving and troubleshooting
  • Migrating applications from premise-based encryption at rest usage to Cloud-Based encryption at rest using existing solutions
  • Assessing and evaluating next-generation data at rest encryption solutions

Key Responsibilities

As a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer - Encryption at Rest and Secrets Management, you'll be responsible for:

  • Ideation, testing, proof of concept, and support for various cyber-related projects
  • Analyzing complex security issues and developing engineering activities to mitigate risk
  • Analyzing hardware and software solutions, recommending purchases, and identifying modifications to fit AT&T's cybersecurity needs
  • Developing policies and procedures to minimize network intrusion, malware events, and vulnerability issues
  • Applying measures to block malicious code and applications
  • Conducting forward-looking research, planning, and strategy to strengthen our stance against future cybersecurity threats

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 8+ years of strong security background in Cybersecurity with an emphasis on Encryption and Cybersecurity fundamentals
  • Linux/Unix/Windows System Admin functions experience
  • Scripting languages such as Python, Java, and shell scripting experience
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Experience with Public Cloud environments

Preferred Qualifications

We'd love to see:

  • Achievement of certifications such as CISSP, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500), AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or AWS Certified Security Specialist
  • Experience with data at rest encryption products, such as Thales, KeyFactor EJBCA, KeyFactor CMD, Voltage SecureData, or HashiCorp Vault Secrets Management
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or Cybersecurity
