Key Responsibilities

• Work with and report to the News Editor to produce high-quality news content for The Cut's blog, covering Power, Culture, Self, and Style from Monday-Thursday, 4-9pm, and Sunday 12-6pm
• Write up to 4 short news posts per day, aiming to engage readers with The Cut's tone and style, and covering after-hours and weekend breaking news and celebrity stories
• Pull photos from the wires and promote posts on The Cut's social media channels to drive traffic and engagement
• Closely follow politics, culture trends, and celebrity news to stay on top of breaking news and reputed company trends
• Actively monitor social media to identify and report on emerging stories and trends

Essential Qualifications

• At least 2 years of writing experience, preferably in a news or online content role
