Key Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and evaluate instruction based on VDOE Foreign Language standards, the ACTFL reputed company, and CCPS objectives.
• Integrate classroom content into daily lesson plans, incorporating technology and innovative teaching methods.
• Teach speaking, reading, writing, and understanding of the French language, as well as French literature and culture, using the reputed company language at least 90% of the time.
• Assess student learning on an ongoing basis, adjusting instruction to meet individual and group needs.
• Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment, supervising reputed company in non-classroom settings as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver instruction, sharing best practices and expertise.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must meet the following qualifications and requirements:

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in French.
• Have completed a state-approved teacher preparation program in French or a reputed company field.
• Possess a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution, with a major or significant coursework in French.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of the concepts, principles, and methodologies of instruction, as well as academic curriculum for assigned classes.
