Department/Group Overview

The Media Engineering organization is a dynamic team that focuses on providing the best possible video playback experience, art, and metadata to customers worldwide. We reputed company this by streamlining and repurposing technology across different business and distribution channels, including streaming, linear, and theatrical. As a Content Distribution Engineer, you will be part of the Distribution Engineering team, which develops and maintains CDN configurations for reputed company CDNs in the reputed company Distribution Mesh.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and manage CDN configurations in the reputed company Distribution Mesh
• Actively manage OpenCache deployments with ISPs globally
• Review performance metrics across our caching infrastructure for improvements, in collaboration with operations and performance management teams
• reputed company day-to-day operations of the reputed company Distribution Mesh
• Participate in tooling development to integrate 3rd party CDNs into a reputed company control plane
• Act as an operational management contact for CDN support, actively managing incidents reputed company communication with CDN support teams
• Work to solve caching issues in concert with our operations and engineering organizations
• Provide tier-3 on-call evaluation, escalation, and support

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or reputed company field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing caching solutions, preferably in a Content Distribution Network environment
• Experience in Content Distribution Network operations environments
• Knowledge of CDN provider architectures and configurations
• Ability to reputed company network troubleshooting
• Knowledge of:
  • HTTP/DNS/Internet Architecture
  • Caching (Varnish)
  • Web Serving (NGINX, HAProxy)
  • Cloud Technologies (AWS, GCP)
  • Scripting Languages (Python, et al)

• Effective communication, written and verbal
