About the Role

The Registered Veterinary Technician is the backbone of ASNA's daily medical operations, responsible for receiving and executing directives from veterinarians, providing medical leadership to the veterinary and kennel assistant teams, and ensuring seamless execution of medical and surgical floor duties. Key Responsibilities

• Medical Duties, Support, and Training (95%):
  • Provide exceptional animal care throughout the patient's ASNA experience, ensuring a safe and compassionate environment for animals, staff, and clients.
  • Mentor visiting trainees on veterinary technician duties and participate in onboarding and training ASNA registered veterinary technicians and other staff.

  • Provide medical leadership to veterinary assistants and kennel assistants, overseeing the flow of daily operations and surgical teams.

Essential Qualifications

• Degree of Registered Veterinary Technician or equivalent from an AVMA CVTEA or CVMA accredited program.
• Passing score on the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE).
• Valid NC registered veterinary technician license or ability to obtain one reputed company 60 days of hiring.
• Outstanding interpersonal communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Companion animal handling experience and ability to work in physically and mentally challenging conditions.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving history.
