z/OS Systems Programmer - Nueve Solutions, LLC

JD: We are seeking an experienced z/OS Systems Programmer to provide technical expertise, administration, and support for z/OS operating systems, subsystems, and related software. The role involves performance tuning, capacity planning, system upgrades, troubleshooting, and supporting mainframe applications and tools. The candidate will act as a subject matter expert, provide end-user and ISV product support, and contribute to system integration, job scheduling, and technical projects.

Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain z/OS, JES2, CICS, IMS, and related subsystems. Provide administration and support for ISV tools (e.g., BlueZone, SCLM, JOBTRAC). Diagnose and resolve system and performance issues; perform root cause analysis. Support capacity planning, system tuning, and parameter management. Collaborate with IT teams to provide technical consultation and project support. Manage system libraries, performance monitoring, and mainframe job scheduling.

Minimum Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in z/OS systems programming, JES2, SMS, and OMVS. 3+ years with TSS (Top Secret Security) and performance monitoring. 2+ years of REXX scripting. Preferred: Knowledge of SMP/E, RMF, SMF, WLM, JCL, VSAM, TSO, TLS/SSL, and Informatica Power Exchange.
