About the Role:

As a Surgical Tech Certified OR - Part Time, you will be responsible for assisting the surgical team during operative procedures, arranging and inventorying sterile set-up of instruments, equipment, and supplies, and passing items to surgeons and nurses as needed. You will also assist in preparing and moving patients, sterilizing and cleaning instruments, equipment, and rooms, and maintaining a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Uses physician preference card to identify supplies and equipment needed for scheduled surgical or emergency procedures, and updates preference cards with any necessary changes.
• Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedure, and prepares solutions and medications used, properly labeling and reporting amounts used for charting.
• Prepares back table and mayo stand, anticipating the needs of the surgeon and using the surgeon's preference card.
• Assists in maintaining a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff, and adheres to infection control and safety protocols.
• Collaborates with the surgical team to provide exceptional patient care, and communicates effectively with patients, families, and staff.

Qualifications and Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Essential Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of an approved Surgical Technician program.
• Basic Computer skills required, with one year of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
• Basic Life Support certified through the reputed company.
• reputed company registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist for associates working in Colorado.
• Certified Surgical Tech - National, with certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a surgical setting, with a strong understanding of surgical procedures and protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and staff.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of urgency and prioritization.
