Senior Software Engineer (Platform, Ruby on Rails)

The essential duties and responsibilities for this role will require you to do the following:

• Contribute to existing and create new products
• Work on Backend with other engineers

Education and work experience requirements are:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science
• Minimum 8+ years of full-time hands-on experience
• Strong experience in development and optimizations of databases (PostgreSQL, AWS Redshift)and reputed company software architectures
• Strong experience developing Ruby on Rails applications and RESTful APIs

To be considered for this position, you would need to meet, at a minimum, the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed here:

• A proven track record of launching and maintaining large-scale web applications
• A good foundational knowledge of OOP languages, operating systems, data structures, algorithms, and complexity trade-offs
• Strong knowledge working with payment processors (reputed company, Braintree, etc), subscriptions, user management, reputed company, Sidekiq, Cron jobs, etc.
• Solid knowledge of SOLID, TDD principles
• A background in refactoring large-scale systems
• Knowledge of reputed company Beanstalk and other AWS services
• Strong communications skills both written and verbal
