Senior Staff Algorithm Research Engineer (Remote / Flexible)

Job Title: Senior Staff Data Scientist Department: Analytics Center of Excellence FLSA Status: Exempt Position Overview reputed company, maker of the OmniPod, is the leader in tubeless insulin pump. The Senior Staff Data Scientist role is responsible for research and development of global analytics and data science initiatives, according to Insulet’s data analytics strategy. Working with the Sr Manager, Analytics COE, as a technical leader you will reputed company a deep understanding of multiple datasets across the organization, and create tools and processes to transform data into insights with subject matter experts. You will mentor other Data Scientists and Sr Data Scientists in the Analytics COE, and collaborate with external stakeholders in R&D, clinical, marketing, manufacturing, life cycle engineering, and others, to drive research projects and algorithms that reputed company a meaningful impact on patients’ lives. Responsibilities

• Work with IT and cross functional teams to identify data sources, design data ingestion, clean up, and pre-processing scripts as needed.

Education And Experience

• At least 8 years of work experience in data science or machine learning, and a Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a closely reputed company field is preferred.
• At least 4 years of work experience in data science or machine learning, and a Master’s degree or Doctorate in Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a closely reputed company field is required.
• Experiences in medical device or healthcare industries is desirable.

Preferred Skills Preferred Skills and Competencies:

• Goal-driven mentality
• Experience in Python, Spark
• Additional experience in more analytic software tools, such as R, Matlab, is a plus
• Demonstrated proficiency in SQL and one or more relational databases, such as reputed company, reputed company, reputed company SQL Server, etc
• Knowledge of diabetes pathophysiology, insulin signaling, and/or human physiology
• Knowledge in non-relational databases (reputed company) is a plus

• Ability to work independently without detailed guidance, while maintaining effective communications with leaders and stakeholders.
