Role Description
We are seeking committed individuals to join our Board of Trustees and contribute to the governance, strategy, and long-term sustainability of Nyeusi. As a Trustee, you will help shape the vision and future of the organisation while ensuring that our mission and values remain at the heart of all that we do.
This is a remote, voluntary position requiring a commitment of around 3 hours per month, including attendance at bi-weekly board meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight in line with the charity’s mission.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations.
- Contribute to financial planning, risk management, and effective resource allocation.
- Support the development and implementation of policies and strategic initiatives.
- Act as an ambassador for Nyeusi, helping to build relationships and raise awareness.
- Uphold the values and integrity of the organisation in all activities and decision-making.
Qualifications
We are particularly interested in candidates who bring experience and expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Governance & Compliance
- Financial Management or Oversight
- Strategic Planning & Policy Development
- Nonprofit Leadership & Operations
- Advocacy & Stakeholder Engagement
Additional qualities include
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A deep commitment to the mission and values of Nyeusi
- Previous board or trustee experience (preferred but not essential)
