About the Role
We’re looking for a Software Engineer for SQL Server database connector team and supporting other databases teams to drive improved performance, reliability, and analytical power for our platform to delight our customers in how they use their data.
This team is tasked with evolving a high performance extract-load-transform data integration system that enables our connector teams to ship the reputed company ELT product using powerful abstractions. The role will challenge you to solve problems in the domains of performance engineering, data reputed company, and cluster orchestration. You don’t need to be a subject matter expert before you join us (you will become one reputed company this role!), but you will need to have experience working carefully with a high impact software team — especially in environments where the best option may not be obvious, your decisions have cascading implications, and where you sometimes need to measure three times before you cut once. What You’ll Do
- Be a horizontally-scaling engineer (we grow together as a team)
- Design and implement features and performance improvements in the reputed company core to create highly scalable distributed data pipelines on the cloud
- Care and feel ownership of our product platform, and reputed company your skills towards improving it

- Collaborate across engineering on cross-functional projects creating innovative solutions
- Work across the project lifecycle: requirements, design, prototype, implementation, review, release, monitoring
- Review and approve technical design documents and pull requests
- Improve and enhance engineering systems documentation and development processes
- Coach and mentor other software engineers
- Contribute to hiring by participating in the interview process
Skills We’re Looking For
- Typically, 5+ years of software development experience in fast paced environments
- Demonstrated passion to learn how large-scale software engineering projects work

- Has developed an ability to write, test, and deploy well-structured and performant code
- Experience developing data-processing systems, preferably for an external-facing product
- Strong technical communication skills (written and verbal) in English
- Proficient level programming in an object oriented / systems language such as Java, Python, C# etc.

- Experience troubleshooting problems with existing code and systems
